Executive Summary
Life coaching is a professional certified program designed by happidition in India, a discipline that requires clarity, presence, emotional maturity, and ethical responsibility. This program is designed to build strong coaching foundations, help young refugees in Kakuma to understand their professional role clearly, and support skill development through a safe, supervised learning environment. The training integrates coaching principles, emotional intelligence, and applied psychological awareness, while clearly maintaining the boundary between coaching and therapy.
1. Introduction.
This certification program offers a balanced, ethical, and practice-driven pathway to developing professional life coaching skills. It supports participants in becoming competent, self-aware, and responsible coaches through structured learning and guided practice.
2. OBJECTIVES.
The general objective of this program is to empower youth from refugee and host communities to set their aspirations, achieve their goals, and become agents of positive change in their communities. Participants completing this certified program will:
- Develop clear and structured coaching skills,
- Learn to coach with confidence, ethics, and professional boundaries,
- Strengthen communication, listening, and questioning abilities,
- Build emotional awareness and self-regulation,
- Be prepared to begin coaching responsibly and ethically,
3. PROGRAM STRUCTURE.
This is a blended learning for 60-hours Certified Life Coaching Program structured, practice-based training designed to help participants develop professional, ethical, and effective coaching skills. The program focuses on how to coach, not just what coaching is, with strong emphasis on practice, self-awareness, boundaries, and real-life application.
The program offers 3 Months (12 Weeks) duration as the foundation, total 60 hours + supervised coaching sessions. Participants who meet the agreed completion criteria shall be awarded jointly issued certificates by Happidition (India) and Wings to Fly Initiative CBO (Kenya), acknowledging successful participation in a professional development and skills-training
programme.
